• Flights from Australia are not included. Please contact us for best available airfares. Enquire early as flights to Africa in 2023 are in high demand.

Accommodation

• 2 Nights, Arrival & Departure Johannesburg
  The City Lodge OR Tambo, located within the International Airport complex provides 4-star accommodation with breakfast.
• 14 Nights Camping
  Campsites are either private, national park, or community owned and operated. All camps provide clean hot showers and toilet facilities.
  Depending on location, some facilities will be adjacent to our allocated campsite, others may require a short walk.
  Some camps, provide bar and restaurant facilities.
  Many campsites are not fenced, allowing wildlife to move freely in these areas. These campsites are amongst our favourites as they offer unique wildlife viewing experiences. Safety rules for these campsites are discussed on Safari.
• 2 Nights Community Lodge.
  We support local tribal communities where possible. As a break to camping, we stay for 2 nights in a very comfortable lodge offering well-appointed rooms with attached shower and toilet facilities. Dinning area with fireplace and bar facilities add to the ambience. Breakfast lunch and dinner are provided by the Lodge. This is a wildlife rich area. Four game drives operated in the lodge vehicles with specialist local guides are provided during our stay.
• 2 Days: – Victoria Falls
  In Victoria Falls, we stay in a downtown lodge within easy walking distance of restaurants and many attractions. Rooms are high standard with private facilities.

Safari Meals

Meals provided as part of the safari cost are marked on the itinerary each day as follows: – B breakfast, L lunch, D dinner.

Your Safari vehicle has a fully equipped kitchen providing: -fridge freezer, gas cooker, all cooking and kitchen items to prepare a meal, plus, cutlery, plates, bowls coffee cups and even wine goblets.

On camping days, breakfast and lunch can be prepared individually by safari members. These supplies can be readily purchased while on safari.
On some days, meals are available to purchase, or, are provided by our campsite providers.

Dinner (D)
On camping nights where camp restaurants are not available, dinners are provided and prepared by your Safari Guides. Special dietary requirements should be discussed when booking. To whet your appetite, this is our typical camping dinner menu

• Chicken fillets wrapped in bacon, creamy mushroom sauce, served with mash.
• Smash burgers and chips
• Coconut infused seafood curry & rice
• Pork loin in tangy orange sauce served with vegetables and mash
• Chicken flatly with couscous salad and butternut.
• T-bone steaks, potato salad, Greek salad
• Lasagna with tomato cucumber salad
• Suvid lamb with gnocchi and mint gravy
• Spaghetti bolognaise
• Oxtail potjie (camp oven) & mash
• Prawns and spicy rice
• Fragrant mild chicken curry with mash
• Creamy bacon and basil pasta shells

Breakfast (B)
Suggestions include, coffee, tea, rusks, cereal, bacon, eggs, fruit.

Lunch (L)
Suggestions include, wraps, salads, fruit. Leftovers from previous night’s dinner can be utilised by the group at lunch.

Morning/Afternoon tea
Depending on the progress of your daily itinerary, breaks for morning and afternoon tea are scheduled.

Sundowners
An important part of any safari is the sunset ritual known as Sundowners. Traditionally a time to enjoy a gin and tonic or an aperitif of choice while embracing the peace and serenity of the African bush in the fading African light.
